About This Opportunity
New Waterford Community Clinic is seeking a full-time family physician to join a collaborative practice of six physicians, two nurse practitioners, and a dietitian. This team shares an electronic medical record (EMR) and holds regular team meetings. Family physicians may participate in teaching through the Family Medicine Residency Program based in Sydney and/or teach medical students through Dalhousie University Medical School.
- provide call coverage
- care for inpatients at New Waterford Hospital
- assist in operating room
- work at the collaborative emergency centre (CEC) during the day
- support long-term care services and inpatient mental health
- physician’s choice
- all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- all family physician must have membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- all specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
- membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
