We're NOW HIRING at our ERIEBANK Ohio Offices for an experienced Credit Analyst in our Commercial Credit Administration team!

Credit Analysts are detail-oriented and essential to the commercial lending process, assisting business development officers and members of management to make timely lending decisions that are beneficial to the Bank. In this position, a credit analyst reviews and analyzes: business financial statements, personal financials, credit bureaus, debt schedules, collateral values, and industry trends to prepare concise and accurate reports for approval by management. Credit Analysts are also essential in the review of the existing loan portfolio through annual reviews, covenant checks, and monitoring of asset based loans.

Senior analysts support in the training of junior analysts, as well as assist the Department Head prepare reports for Senior Management.

Attention to detail is vital in this position as accuracy of ratios, percentages, and general math determine proper lending decisions. Works with business development officers and portfolio admins to obtain all information necessary to prepare an accurate analysis of the loan request.


Displays a positive attitude in managing change, working and communicating with others. Works collaboratively with business development officers, portfolio admins, and other team members in the loan analysis process. Provides timely and essential communication to all team members involved.


Demonstrate excellent communication skills through effective conversations and collaboration. Be the source of exceptional client and employee experiences. Seek opportunities to support volunteerism in the local community’s awareness events, increase the Bank’s outreach, and foster new business.


Explore efficiencies in technologies to improve processes within the Bank. Embrace advancements in banking technology and internal applications.


Takes advantage of training opportunities to advance knowledge of rules and regulations that impact the commercial lending process. Looks for opportunities to improve processes and procedures. Advancement in this career may include demonstration of superior credit analysis abilities based on established experience, advancement in the complexity of loan requests analyzed, and training new employees. May require some travel. Remote work opportunities are available.


2 years of banking, credit analysis, financial services, or credit administration experience

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, with related experience and secondary education preferred. Successful completion of required background checks is required.
