Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced, hands on electro-mechanical assembly technician with machine shop skills to join our engineering staff, to work with our team to assemble, maintain, test, repair and troubleshoot our existing products and to assist with prototyping and developing new technology. The candidate will be a key member of our research and development staff. This job will include building new equipment along with troubleshooting/repairing existing field deployed systems. The ideal candidate will be capable of working in a team or alone. Candidate should be excited about building new technology and in getting very hands on.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree preferred
  • 3+ years electro-mechanical assembly background is a must.
  • Modify parts as needed to ensure proper assembly using a milling machine, lathe and other machine shop tools
  • Fabricate prototypes and small run production systems
  • Build wire harnesses, PCB s and motor drive systems
  • Electrical assembly experience including soldering both SMT and through hole components and military type connector fabrication
  • Precision under the microscope soldering is critical
  • Candidate will be responsible for accuracy and completion of their own work, meeting schedules, and seeking assistance to resolve technical questions and problems
  • Ship/receive to our field crews as needed to support the build/repair/replace process
  • Generate test and fabrication documentation as needed
  • Experience with electronics, circuit card assembly and wiring
  • Ability to accomplish objectives in the most efficient and economical manner
  • Ability to communicate with and become an integral member within the R&D Department
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Maintain a clean and organized work space
  • Willingness to learn, self-motivation and taking pride in your work is important
