Overall Objective:
The primary purpose of a Driver Manager is to reduce costs within the organization by controlling driver turnover, promote Safety through communication and training of the drivers on your fleet. The Driver Manager will also be held accountable for reducing idle time, controlling fleet deadhead, and increasing fleet miles.
Working Relationship:
Reports to the Director of Driver Managers and to the Vice President of Operations.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor:
Tractors by Supervisor Screen
High Value Loads
Preplans
PTA’s
Home Calls
Miles
- Keep messages to drivers current and reply as necessary in a timely manner
- Dispatch drivers on accepted preplanned loads and secure new preplans as early as possible
- Make certain all data is accurate and up to date
- When needed, relay loads to insure on time service and notify the appropriate CSR/Planner of issues
- Issue advances for company expenses only
- Issue reimbursements as necessary
- Resolve any payroll issues with your drivers
- Monitor your fleet dispatched on special accounts
- Work with Safety to resolve issues with your drivers
- Monitor hours of service as needed
- Monitor frequency of accidents and route drivers for additional training
- Review Detention and Release
