Director of Training and Development – Coppell, TX 75019

We are currently seeking a Director of Training and Development who enjoys the challenge of changing an organization and who knows how to act as a change agent within an organization.

The Director of Training and Development will lead a team of Trainers and be responsible for developing and directing all of the organizations key learning and development processes. This individual will assist in the development and execution of the Talent Management strategy. This individual collaborates with senior leaders and Human Resources to improve functional areas, teams and individual performance, and creating key strategies to improve organizational effectiveness. This individual will lead a team to organize, conduct, and evaluate internal training programs. This role also assists executives and/or senior directors in defining organizational goals and strategic plans. This person will have extensive business knowledge with comprehensive understanding of the organization and functional area.

Job Duties:

  • Development and implementation of learning and development interventions and organization change strategies utilizing performance consulting skills in support of strategic plan and key initiatives
  • Works with teams, departments, functions, and entire organization
  • Delivers leadership training within the organization. Provide train-the-trainer coaching to improve all training delivery
  • Revamp entire learning and development strategy to align with culture initiative
  • Responsible for creating a Learning and Development framework that addresses company’s training/development needs
  • Develop of techniques that maximize learner participation, comprehension and application of the material
  • Identifies development opportunities and coaches company leaders in order to increase their managerial and leadership effectiveness
  • Continually builds bench-strength of leadership talent at all levels by determining needs through bench-strength assessment and individual development plans
  • Partners with senior leaders to design and implement leadership and hi-potential development strategies
  • Leads the development and management of the Learning Management System (LMS). Configure and administer the Learning Management System to include course installation, monitoring compliance courses, reporting, and maintenance
  • Create and implement a training strategy for Work At Home Agent program
  • Lead the recommendation of vendor services, products, and training materials.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This includes performing all job duties in a compliant manner as well as reporting any known compliance issues to management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Must have prior experience in curriculum development and demonstrated training management/evaluation
  • Demonstrates a positive, proactive and self-directed approach to learning and development
  • Have a desire to help others learn
  • Have a desire to understand the “why” behind our procedures
  • Demonstrate excellent presentation skills, both in small group and large group settings
  • Be a problem solver
  • Have a friendly attitude
  • Be able to break down procedures into individual steps for training and documentation
  • Have an ability to work with, and train all levels of the organization
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Must be flexible in order to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities; ability to work under tight deadlines and plan, organize and carry out multiple, detailed tasks
  • Demonstrate initiative

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
