As the Deli Manager, you will play a key role in helping customers make healthy food choices by providing excellent customer service through managing and leading one of the busiest teams in our store. You will manage and merchandise the department for maximum productivity and profit, you will be responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Deli team. Your role as the Deli Manager is to effectively coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork. You will be leading a team that collaborates to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the greatest experience your customers will receive. The Deli Manager is responsible to staff, teach, train, develop, and counsel the Deli team; to manage product orders, receiving, and storage, operate and maintain deli equipment, ensure the execution of all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations and validate that other deli team members are also aware of, and following, these procedures. As a Deli Manager, you will be expected to manage the department inventories by tracking weekly sales reports and order products and supplies so as to meet customer requirements and the company’s gross profit goals. The Deli Manager is responsible for working closely with the Store Manager, Assistant Store Managers, and Assistant Deli Manager to ensure the success of the store and department through excellent customer service and a demonstrated passion for food.
