Controls Engineer II – 4+ yrs Experience – Custom Machine Design LOFTech Automation and Prototype Manufacturing LOFTech Automation and Prototype Manufacturing

We are seeking a professional, highly motivated individual to design and program innovative industrial control systems for automated equipment. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of Machine design and Rockwell/AB experience. This position requires attention to detail, time management, the ability to take design direction, the ability to work with others, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position may offer working remotely on occasion.


  • Electrical Controls Engineering oriented design and programming tasks for new equipment and modifying existing equipment
  • Produce an electrical and pneumatic Bill of Materials for a design based upon customer requirements and previous design history
  • Design electrical schematics, pneumatic schematics and panel layout drawings using AutoCAD products
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Work with customers through a machine checkout/startup process and prepare the required documents for a factory (FAT) and site (SAT) acceptance test
  • Accurately and professionally represent LOFTech to customers and vendors
  • Demonstrate professional and respectful interaction with all LOFTech members


  • Must possess a strong electromechanical aptitude
  • Experience in the application of multi-axis motion control, PLC and HMI programming
  • Good aptitude with RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, Factory Talk ME and SE software
  • Experience with PackML Code Structure
  • Familiar with industrial network communication protocols including Ethernet and RS-232
  • Ability to produce schematics and panel layout drawings using AutoCAD/ACADE
  • Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills
  • B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in a position with similar responsibilities
