Now seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist to be part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team at Monte Nido Glen Cove Residential Treatment Center!
This is a contract position based at our Glen Cove residential treatment facility, in Glen Cove, New York.
Monte Nido & Affiliates has been delivering proven treatment for eating disorders more than two decades. Our program offers a model of treatment that blends the personalized and medically sophisticated care for which we are known, with the latest research and strategies for those suffering from eating disorders.
Core Duties
Initial Psychiatric Evaluations.
Weekly follow-up sessions.
Documentation of Psychiatric progress.
Medication management.
Collaborate with the full treatment team, including Medical Director.
Communicate with referring providers and client family members.
Discharge planning.
Participate in call-by-phone for Psychiatric emergencies or crises.
Provide treatment that is compliant with State and Federal regulations and The Joint Commission.
Minimum Qualifications
Active/unrestricted New York Medical License (M.D. or D.O.).
Board Eligible or Board Certified in General/Adult Psychiatry by the ABPN.
Must hold current BLS/CPR before starting work.
Valid DEA certificate.
