POSITION DESCRIPTION: Answers incoming telephone calls, operates radio console and peripheral electronic equipment to relay information concerning law enforcement and other emergency information.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The Licking County Sheriff’s Office is seeking qualified applicants to build an eligibility list to fill and build current and future positions as law enforcement dispatchers.
JOB PREREQUISITES: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 21 years of age, U.S. Citizen, valid Ohio Driver’s License, High School Diploma or equivalency diploma.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Upon hire, candidate must successfully complete a field training program and become trained and certified in Emergency Police and Medical protocols. Must become CPR certified and LEADS certified.

Successful candidates will be subject to Criti-Call testing and a panel interview process. Additionally, successful candidates will be subject to Licking County’s pre-employment drug screen and background investigation.
COMPENSATION: SALARY: Based on current Labor Agreement
$22.44/ hour (starting salary) & $23.56 / hour (after two years of service)
