In addition to serving walk-in customers, he/she provides needed parts to internal technicians in order to support Service Center activities and responds to telephone inquiries. The Commercial Parts Salesperson continuously monitors inventory in order to ensure immediate parts availability, within reason, and will also handle returns. The ideal candidate has previous parts experience in commercial and/or personal transportation products, strong computer and internet skills, and is genuinely interested in customer satisfaction.
- Greets all customers in a warm, sincere, and helpful manner
- Ensures deliveries are promptly received and notifies internal or external customers accordingly
- Maintains parts storage area in a clean and well-organized fashion
- Provides clear and accurate information with regard to special-order parts
- Researches parts information through the Dealer Management System, Dealer Daily and Electronic Parts Catalog, or any other means necessary to obtain the solution
- Secures warranty parts, properly tags and sorts said parts, and promptly returns to source
- Maintains and enhances current knowledge base in this area of the commercial transportation industry
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED
- Broad scope of knowledge in commercial transportation parts and products
- CDK system knowledge and experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
