Job responsibilities and requirements:

The position of an Early Interventionist requires community based (homes, daycares, etc) one on one special instruction visits, as well as conducting evaluations to determine a child’s eligibility/needs, developing and reviewing Individualized Family Service Plans/Family Service Plans (IFSP/FSP), working collaboratively with the IFSP/FSP multidisciplinary team members to include families, pediatricians, therapists, teachers, etc, to coordinate all necessary services, meeting all associated deadlines, and ensuring state and federal requirements are met.

The ideal Early Interventionist candidate will exhibit the following traits: passion for working with children that have developmental delays and/or disabilities, ability to manage detail-oriented paperwork, as well as demonstrate the abilities to be teachable, efficiently manage time, and work independently.

SC Great kids offers a 3-month training period in which time the employee will be paid $16.00/hour. After the 3-month training period, the employee will be paid $20.00/hour. Health, Dental, and Vision benefits will be offered to all full-time employees.

Candidate MUST be able to travel by personal car to area visits. Travel time is paid at the $10.00/hour rate.

Qualifications: MUST have specific degree from the list below in order to be considered. Special Education or experience with children ages 0-3 preferred.

A Bachelor’s degree in: Child/Human Development; Education: Early Childhood; Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or Elementary Education; Family and Consumer Sciences; Psychology; Public Health; Social Work; Sociology; Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts to include the following: Physician, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Independent Social Worker, Licensed Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, Licensed Doctor of Osteopath, Licensed Professional Counselor (Master’s and Doctoral Level only), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Physician’s Assistant, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Speech Language Pathologist, Licensed Audiologist, Licensed Physical Therapist, Licensed Occupational Therapist.
