Under general supervision of the Patient Access Director the incumbent will be expected to be versatile in all areas of responsibility and accommodate numerous scheduling types including, but no limited to: coordinating the scheduling of appointments for outpatient procedures for participating departments by physicians, physician office staff, patients and other customers, scheduling for multi areas, collecting comprehensive demographics and insurance information required for scheduling, order flow management and pre-service clearance. With a patient centered culture, the Centralized Scheduling Assist will provide a positive experience to our customer and patients.
High school diploma or equivalent; or higher degree obtained.
Strong working knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Minimum of 2 years prior experience in a medical setting preferred. Knowledge of third party payers and insurance preferred. Requires critical thinking skills, analytical skills.
Exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. frequently and/or negligible amounts constantly.
