Xcel Energy’s Eau Claire, WI (Sky Park) location is currently hiring Customer Contact Center Call Center Associate II’s for an upcoming training class. These are fully benefited positions. The Sky Park Contact Center operating hours are 24/7.
The position starts at $14.25 per hour with shift and Bilingual differentials available.
New hires will be eligible for a $250 retention bonus at 4 months, 8 months, and 12 months (a total of $750) if employees are meeting expectations.
The training schedule is 10:00 A.M. to 6:30 P.M. on Monday – Friday. Following training, candidates will choose a schedule consisting of 40 hours per week with times between 10:00am and 8:00pm Monday through Friday and Saturday between the hours of 9:00am and 6:00pm. Alternative evening and overnight shifts (with wage differential) are also available and can be discussed in further detail. If a Monday through Friday shift is chosen, candidates must also be available to work an occasional Saturday rotation shift.
As part of our 24 hour Contact Center operations, this position will have the option to work from home by meeting performance requirements including, but not limited to reliable attendance and meeting specified performance thresholds at six, nine and twelve month intervals.
The Customer Contact Representative’s primary responsibility is to resolve any issues our customers might face and ensure their satisfaction. Contact Center Representatives will consult with customers on their energy needs and resolve issues in one contact.
Build trust with customers by anticipating their needs and efficiently providing accurate information. Educate customers on various company products and services that enhance their experience.
Understand complex electric and gas rate options across multiple service territories. Analyze and assist customers with complicated requests and questions.
Accountable for individual performance indicators of customer satisfaction, quality and productivity to ensure that the overall business objectives are achieved.
Provide high quality customer interaction through multiple channels in a Contact Center environment.
Anticipate the customer’s needs and consults with them by offering solutions and problem solving.
Responds to complex inquiries.
Provide technical support to customers.
Respond to gas and electric emergency situations with a high degree of accuracy to ensure public safety.
Participate in on call rotation required. 95
Performs other duties as assigned, including work on special projects.
- 1+ year of customer service experience required, 18 months preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience promoting product and services preferred
- Bilingual/Spanish experience is a plus
