MET Healthcare Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and organized medical billing specialist to join our growing team. As a part of our billing team you will review consultations and case reviews for reimbursement.
Medical Billing Specialist Responsibilities:
- Receive and review patient charts and documents for completion and accuracy
- Properly review all patient charts and submit to appropriate party for reimbursement in a timely manner
- Update and maintain document lists
- Posting payments and responding to first and second level rebuttals in a timely manner
- Follow up with appropriate parties for payment status in a timely manner
- Performs additional duties assigned by Department Manager as needed
Medical Billing Requirements and Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent-REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in related field- Preferred
- Certification as a Professional Biller or relevant work experience -Preferred
- Minimum two (2) years of medical billing experience-Preferred
- Understanding of medical terminology-REQUIRED
- Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team-REQUIRED
- Strong computer skills in data entry, coding, and knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office Suite)-REQUIRED
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills-REQUIRED
- Ability to communicate with claimants in both English and Spanish
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
