Tarrytown Honda is seeking a Service Dispatcher. The Service Dispatcher ensures that repairs and maintenance of customer vehicles are assigned in accordance with the Service Director and dealership standards. The Service Dispatcher is responsible for maximizing utilization, monitoring work in progress and assigning work to the correct service technicians. Applicants MUST have prior experience working in a dealership as a dispatcher managing work flow and working with the technicians.
Job Responsibilities:
- Schedule shop work as efficiently as possible in accordance with dealership policy
- Assign work to the correct technician level
- Ensure that technicians follow warranty procedures
- Review hard copies turned in by technicians to ensure that assigned work has been completed properly
- Ensure technicians complete the multi-point vehicle inspection forms
- Maintain a record of carryover vehicles
- Coordinate parts requirements with the Parts Department
- Spot-check repairs to assure quality and timely completion
- Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes, OSHA, etc.
- Other duties as required
Job Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience
- Ability to quickly acquire in-depth parts knowledge for dealership brand
- Well-organized, systematic and precise in carrying out job duties
- Communicate effectively with technicians and customers
- Must be results-driven, highly energized, and customer service oriented
- Possess ability to support a Service team to top-level performance and create a world-class customer experience
- Computer literate with well-developed information processing skills
- Applicants must have a valid drivers license

Pay: $46,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
