Job Title: Assistant Spare Parts Administrator

SUMMARY

Responsible for all functions related to the supply of spare parts and repair parts for the company’s military customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Receive initial call from customers requesting warranty parts or service.

Quoting for various companies: Identify the correct part required for the particular piece of equipment, obtaining the correct pricing information, and establishing a selling price.

Interact daily with purchasing, production, quality, shipping and receiving.

Assist production in expediting and having items moved throughout the building in a timely fashion.

Occasionally pull spare parts from stock.

Update notes on open order log to distribute to all departments weekly.

Respond to customer complaints.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associates degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school

Or 6 months to 1 year related experience or training.

Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Must be competent in Windows program operations. Ex) Word, excel, etc…

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to understand and carry out instructions; written, oral, and diagram form. Ability to deal with problems in a variety of situations that may arise.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with head and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship

Pay: $14.00 – $15.00 per hour
