Salary Range – $31,200 – $48,058 – GN06
Performs a variety of office assistant tasks in support of administrative, program, or technical operations. Functions include a diversity of records, reports, and filing activities, public contact, answering telephone, directing calls to appropriate person and taking messages. Good communication skills are necessary. Position will process payroll, inventory, purchase orders, and accounts payable through SAP; personnel and other office duties such as typing correspondence, filing and handling of incoming and outgoing mail. Must have knowledge and use of office equipment and related computer technology (Microsoft Windows, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and SAP).

Ability to accurately use computer, calculator, copier, fax machine, etc. Ability to work independently and maintain and organize records. Ability to accurately use Microsoft Office products. Ability to accurately perform math calculations. Ability to communicate and respond to all inquiries and instructions to ensure positive public and employee relations including problem telephone calls. Ability to be courteous and apply tact in performing contact and communications that may be sensitive in nature. Ability to be resourceful in gathering and giving program information and ability to schedule and coordinate a variety of work at the same time. Ability to learn and independently apply laws, departmental rules and regulations in performance of assigned duties.
May require work during non-traditional work hours, including nights, weekends, holidays and times of emergency.
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
