Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk – Part Time

Our client is seeking AP/AR Clerk to be responsible for the accounting activities at the company’s Putnam, CT site. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Match invoices to purchase orders and verify product received not on purchase orders
  • Enter invoices into ERP system
  • Ensure invoices are coded to the correct GL code
  • Request invoices from vendors if not received
  • Set up new vendors in MRP system
  • Prepare vendor invoices for payment
  • Match up credit card statement with receipts
  • Reconcile monthly statements from vendors
  • Process payments via check, ACH or wire
  • Process incoming payments through ERP system including checks, wires and ACH payments
  • Process credit card transactions
  • Prepare deposits to be run through the check scanner
  • Verify shipments, prepare and invoice customers
  • Process credit memos, including RMA credits
  • Send monthly AR statements
  • Respond to inquires for copies of invoices and credit memos
  • Resolve billing issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Good customer service skills
  • General knowledge of accounting principles
  • Previous experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable preferred
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Good organization skills
  • Previous M1 experience is a plus
