What You Bring
Account Clerk I Account Clerk II
One year of responsible clerical, accounting One year of experience comparable to that of an
clerical, or administrative/business experience. Account Clerk I in the City of Mountain View.
Equivalent to the completion of the 12th grade. Equivalent to the completion of the 12th grade.
Bonus Points! (Highly Desirable)
Possession of an Associates of Art’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a closely related field.
At least one year accounting clerical level experience at a public agency or school district.
Experience in accounts receivables utility billing, business license, and short term rental.
Intermediate/advanced working knowledge of Excel.

What You’ll Do
Perform clerical accounting duties in the preparation, maintenance, and processing of accounting records and
financial transactions including accounts receivable, utility billing, business license, and short term rental.
Prepare journal entries and execute various reports from financial systems.
Maintain accounting records, prepare cash deposits, and monitor progress payments.
Reconcile accounts receivable, utility billing records, business license records, short term rental records, and
verify accounting transactions to ensure accuracy.
Accurately process financial data in the appropriate accounting/banking system(s).
Respond to and solve inquiries from customers related to accounts receivable, utility billing invoices and
payments, business license, and short term rental.
Cover front desk duties such as cashiering and phone during daily breaks and staff time off.
